I am in a dilemma,I am acquiring a car in a month or two but I don’t know how to drive. The last time I was behind the wheel was during my driving lessons back in 2020.How do I go about it considering I don’t have anyone who I can borrow their car to go for a test drive..I was thinking of getting a car for hire for a month so I can use as practice..New drivers how did you get rid of driving anxiety?how did you learn to be a pro behind the wheel?

You will forget the anxiety.
I finished driving in 2015 (2 weeks learning), have never driven any car till 3 months ago when I bought my car and I have been driving daily.
Was full of anxiety like you. I started going home with a colleague who is a company driver.
Under His guidance, I have gained courage and mastery.
Manual or auto? Auto is pretty easy. If you have time you can go for a refresher course or train for a week with someone. Driving is all about confidence mainly, which is achieved by practice. A week is enough to know the basics then just put a Learner sign and start by driving on less busy roads first. You will gain confidence in time
Go back to driving school just for 2-3 days… strictly b on the road/highway!!! Then get your car…. There’s that excitement of driving one’s own car but keep it cool, follow the rules on the road, keep safe and enjoy your ride. All the best
Have never gone to any driving school, I bought my car when I never knew how to drive one week nikifuzwa na a friend week ya pili I could drive on my own .confidence is the key
